Generate New Weights

Make the whole font lighter or heavier. Preview your choice, then use Export Working Font to save its OTF.

Outline shift (% of em)

LighterOriginal: 0Heavier

Protect fine details and openings Minimum stroke px

When lightening, reshape inner openings to keep this clearance at the chosen Size, before zoom and individual glyph transforms. Fine-detail protection must be on.

Original weight.

When thickening, protection keeps inner openings open locally while every glyph gets the full outer shift. When lightening, fragile glyphs may use a smaller shift. Spacing and baseline position stay fixed. Check script connections in the exported font preview, especially when lightening. These are outline variations, not designer-drawn family weights.

Up/down: positive moves up. Left/right: positive moves right. Position and spacing use a percentage of font size. Spacing changes the next character’s position and exports with the font. Effects: 0% protects this glyph from Global Effects.

Click empty canvas space to hide the selection outline. Click the glyph preview to show it again.

Transforms use the glyph’s center. Width leaves character spacing intact unless enabled above. View Effects also toggles glyph edits.

Shuffle Glyphs

Give each glyph a repeatable variation. Every copy of the same letter stays consistent. Shuffle replaces rotation, up/down and size; other edits stay intact.

Export Working Typeface

Typeface Name

Each export adds a unique version suffix to the filename and installed font name, so you can keep multiple versions.

Complexity Governor Safe limits active

Max 1,200 nodes / glyph Max 120,000 nodes / font Max 1,500 glyphs / export

Typeface export always applies conservative cleanup. If one glyph becomes dangerously complex, Font Degrader simplifies it automatically and can fall back to the original glyph rather than create a risky font.

Library Compatibility Audit 96 fonts

Runs every verified library font through the current effects, safety governor and OTF writer. Fonts are tested in memory; the audit does not download 96 files.
